Samuel Goldwyn started out as a humble immigrant, but his tenacity and drive led him to become a world-famous producer with over 103 completed films and over 100 Academy Award nominations. He remained independent from the major studios throughout his career, producing such classics as: Wuthering Heights, Guys & Dolls, The Best Years Of Our Lives and Stella Dallas. Adapted from A. Scott Berg's celebrated Goldwyn biography and narrated by Dustin Hoffman, this documentary uses archive footage, home movies and film clips to create a vivid picture of Goldwyn. There are also interviews with a host of stars including Bette Davis, John Huston, Danny Kaye, Merle Oberon and Howard Hawks.
