Vanity Fair Movie
A satirical swipe at early 19th Century English life, based on the book by William Thackeray. We chart the rise of two young women, the immoral Becky Sharp and the virtuous Amelia Sedley, as they climb the social ladder. Becky, the daughter of a drunken drawing master, is determined to secure herself a rich and high-born husband and will destroy anyone in her way. Amelia is the opposite, although a little self-obsessed and thinks she is in love with the dashing Captain Osborne.
