Join Detective Inspector Barnaby and Sergeant Troy as they try solve another murder mystery in the delightful county of Midsomer. Melissa Townsend, the beautiful but spoilt daughter of the manor in Midsomer Malham, has received death threats, blamed for causing the death of a local poacher by refusing to mend the leaking roof at his peppercorn rent cottage. But her friends feel that she can do no wrong. After a large quantity of barbiturates and syringes are stolen from the veterinary surgery, Barnaby and Troy race to Malham Manor, only they are too late, Melissa's body is floating in the swimming pool with a used syringe hanging from her stomach.
