Boxed set containing a collection of all the classic BBC comedy programmes starring Ronnie Barker. Born in 1929, Ronnie Barker started out as a bank clerk, before sampling the stage and then Radio in 1956. He steadily moved through the world of television, appearing in various small parts and guest spots. He was given a co-starring part in 'Six More Faces Of Jim' and in 1966 he had a regular spot in 'The Frost Report', where he first met Ronnie Corbett. He was writing his own material and indeed it is estimated that a good 75% of 'The Two Ronnies' content was written by him. By 1973 he was to head the cast in 'Porridge' and 'Open All Hours' and then later in 'Going Straight', the spin off from Porridge. Includes: Open All Hours - Series 1 - 4, Porridge - Series 1 - 3 & Christmas Specials, Going Straight, Clarence, Seven Of One and The Magnificent Evans.
