Based on the book by Michelle Magorian. It is 1945 and twelve year old Rusty has returned to England after five years in the USA. She discovers war-damaged cities, rationing, drabness and her family seem like strangers. Rusty feels alone and homesick as she tries to belong to two countries at once. She must take a decision and her tough spirit leads her to a dramatic and devastating rebellion.
