A story about various characters that are bound by relationships of love and friendship and then how they become foes and take up weapons against each other. When Arjun (Anil Kapoor) and Vicky (Rishi Kapoor) meet, they are oblivious to the fact that they are cousins. They meet as friends until one day the truth dawns that the person behind the humiliation and destruction of Arjun's mother is their Grandfather Lala Yoddhraj (Anupam Kher). The battle lines are drawn between Arjun and Vicky as well as their respective families. Vicky is unaware of the mental torture and humiliation his grandfather had subjected Arjun's mother to, and how despite Arjun being the true heir to Lala Yoddhraj's business empire he is made to live the life of a poor adopted child. Can Arjun win back the support of his family and expose the selfish actions of his grandfather?
