Gladiator Movie
Epic drama of courage and revenge set in 180 A.D. After winning a glorious battle, General Maximus Decimus Meridias longs to return home to his wife and son in Spain. The dying Emperor Marcus Aurelius plans to name his brave and loyal Maximus as his successor so that power will be restored to the Roman Senate. But his power-hungry son Commodus learns of the plan and murders Marcus and orders the execution of Maximus and his family. Maximus escapes but is sold into slavery and forced to become a gladiator.
