When their grandfather brings back a beautiful white stallion and tells them tales of magic and mystery surrounding the horse, the boys take the horse to their run down apartment in Dublin, where they live with their father. When the police sell the horse to a cruel farmer the boys steal it back and head off into the West persued by all the authorities.
