Two films. The Net - Angela Bennett (Sandra Bullock) is a freelance computer analyst who enjoys her reclusive lifestyle tracking down computer viruses and `talking' to other Internet users. Her life is thrown into turmoil when she is sent a top secret disc. She finds herself involved in a web of murder and intrigue and her very existence is threatened forcing her to flee for her life... The Net 2.0 - Hope Cassidy gets the job offer of a lifetime - to do computer systems work in Istanbul, Turkey. In search of some adventure and change, she leaves her old life and boyfriend James behind, venturing out on her own to one of the oldest and most exciting cities in the world. Immediately upon arriving Hope not only discovers complications due to language and culture - but quickly realises her identity (credit card, passport, etc.) is being eroded. When she is falsely accused of murder and stealing 14 million dollars, Hope goes on the run. Alone and vulnerable, with only her wits and computer knowledge to draw from - she finally decides to fight back!
