Liberty Stands Still/ Disappearing Acts Movie
Two films. Liberty Stands Still - Liberty Wallace is the wife of an international arms dealer who has no qualms on whom he sells to. Joe is an angry father whose daughter has been killed. Liberty is handcuffed to a hot-dog stand laden with explosives which will go off if Liberty hangs up her cell phone or the battery runs out. Joe also has a high-powered sniper rifle, her company's best gun, trained on her. At first, Joe makes no demands, but it is clear that he has a problem with Liberty's involvement in arms dealing. He eventually tells Liberty that his young daughter was killed in a school shooting by one the the guns her company manufactures. Joe lets Liberty know that she is going to die but first she must first expose the company's shady dealing and political connections. Diappearing Acts - A chance encounter throws two people from very different worlds together in the beginning of a love story. Brooklyn a construction worker never too far away from signing on to the dole and Zora a music teacher with dreams of being a singer songwriter, get lost in their passions for each other. But all too soon real life begins to take its toll. Both their pasts catch up on them as secrets are revealed.
