In 1958 Rock'n Roll was king and every kid dreamed of being a star. For 17-year-old Richie Valens that dream was to become reality in just eight short months as his first three singles - 'Come On, Let's Go', 'Donna' and 'La Bamba' became international chart-toppers. But at the height of his popularity tragedy struck one stormy night when he boarded a plane with the great Buddy Holly. Lou Diamond Phillips gives a dynamic performance and the music is superbly recreated by Los Lobos.
