Mohan is the son struggling to come to terms with his mothers impending death. In an effort to fulfill his mothers dying wish he brings home his uncle's daughter (Champa) to act as his bride to be. The news of the forthcoming marriage, Mohan's mother regains strength and sees a new lease of life. It is then that Champa decides to tell Mohan the truth, that she is really a dancing girl of ill repute hired by his uncle. Mohan, however, is already in love.
